Copper Beech puts EUR 2.5 billion in 17 projects
British developer Copper Beech Group will develop 17 residential projects in Bucharest and neighboring areas with a EUR 2.5 billion investment over the next five years.
One of the biggest such projects is a mixed project in the north of the city, followed by a residential compound on 160 hectares in west Bucharest.

Esplanada project close to signing, construction to start in 2009

If it were in the hands of an individual, the land would have been sold by now, and a lucky developer would have reaped the fruits of a mixed project already. The land, however, belongs to the state, and this could explain the present picture.

Cascade builds second project in Romania with EUR 60 million
Dutch-owned developer Cascade Group will put some EUR 60 million into a class A, 18-floor office building in the Barbu Vacarescu area, the company has announced. Works at the 18,000-sqm building, to be called Euro Tower, started in August and should end in a year and a half.

GTC to sign EUR 120 million America House deal in September

Government pushes mandatory home insurance ahead
Mandatory house insurance will become a reality once Parliament approves the draft law which passed the government last week. All home owners, including holiday and secondary homes, will have to pay a mandatory yearly premium of EUR 10 or EUR 20, depending on the type of construction, according to the approved project.
